Mrs. Carrie Mae (Robbins) Jones

Mrs. Carrie Mae Robbins Jones, age 90, passed away Saturday June 4, 2022 at Clapp’s Nursing Center in Pleasant Garden.

‍

Mrs. Jones was born in Guilford County to the late Ollie and Etta Morgan Robbins.  She was a graduate of Sumner High School and was a member of Community Baptist Church.

‍

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was proud of her family.  She was an avid gardener with a green thumb who loved spending time in her flowers.

‍

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Wilson “JW” Jones; son Dane Jones; two sisters and three brothers.

‍

She is survived by her children Gail Taylor (Bill) of Greensboro, Pam Poe (Herbie) of Greensboro, Cindy Branch of Greensboro, and Keith Jones (Nicole) of Summerfield; sister Betty Fields of Greensboro.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Community Baptist Church, 1330 Burnetts Chapel Rd. Greensboro, NC 27406.
