Sara Mae (Osborne) Sharpe

Sara Mae Osborne Sharpe, 96, of Cary, NC has “Gone Home” as she entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Verra Spring Assisted Living at Heritage Greens in Greensboro, NC.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Sharpe; her parents, Sarah Hennis Osborne and Vernon Avery Osborne; a brother, Lawrence Osborne; sister, Cordelia Osborne Blackwood; granddaughter, Christy Sharpe; brother-in-law, David Sharpe; and sisters-in-law, Dora Purgason, Betty McMillan and Irene Osborne.

Sara is survived by her three sons, Gary (Mary), John (Ginger) and Tim (Anita); three grandchildren, Dawn (Jeff), Cory (Laura) and Chris (Alicia); eight great-grandchildren, Lacee Musgrove, Meredith Julian, Garren Julian, Laurin Sharpe, Hope Sharpe, Stephen Sharpe, Allie Sharpe and Duncan Sharpe; brother, Avery Osborne; sisters-in-law, Laverne Sharpe, Violet Cain and Mildred Isom; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family extends sincere appreciation to the staff and caregivers at Verra Spring Assisted Living and AuthoraCare Hospice of Greensboro for the love shown to our mother, Sara.
